Poland’s international competitive position in trading ICT services: EU versus non-EU markets

The aim of the article is to assess Poland’s international competitive position in the trading of ICT services. A comparative analysis of the competitive position in this trade on EU-27 and non-EU markets has been carried out, as well as exchange with the six countries that were Poland’s main export markets in the field of ICT services in 2023. The research covered the years 2010–2023 and was carried out using the indices of comparative advantage and coverage, as well as the mapping method proposed by Widodo. The research demonstrates the improvement in Poland’s competitive position in this trade, as well as with most of the main recipients of Polish ICT services exports. Throughout the analyzed period, Poland’s competitive position in the exchange of ICT services was better in non-EU markets than in intra-EU exchange, and the majority of Polish exports are currently directed to non-EU countries.
