The note presents the main research problems and important organizational facts reffering to the Krakow cycle of conferences on the issues of structural transformation of industry and services, organized in the years 1985-2014, as well as issued since 2000 Studies of the Industrial Geography Commission of the Polish Geographical Society, which published in the form of scientific articles many papers presented during the conferences.
